As one of my first live-edge projects, these bedside shelves were for residential clients who recently purchased a ski condo in Dillon, CO. The couple had lived in San Francisco for years prior to moving to Colorado, so they were very excited when I suggested we source the project’s material from a tree that lived it’s life in San Francisco. This way, they would have more than just memories of the city under their new roof and the live-edge would form a connection between the material and mountain living. The Blackwood Acacia slab came from Vandewater Street in North Beach and was purchased from Arbor Upcycle in Brisbane, CA.
